Few words about this conference. It was created to be a place of contacts and communication between the foreign guests of Novosibirsk City Site and local inhabitants. Besides this - as far as I know - many of you are dreaming about improving their English. Make it better right here, messaging each other.

Using Russian language is prohibited here :)
Hilda
Such a good idea! :)
Hilda
Let's try! But what about the themes for discussing?
Hilda
Also, I'd suggest that one should not try to correct other participants' syntax and grammar - otherwise it will turn out to be nothing but a stream of violent mutual insults.
Hilda
I've registered the New York Times account that you folks may use in order to read the articles. In my opinion, it is the most professionally written newspaper in North America. Go ahead and enhance your vocabulary!

Thanks a lot for registration. It's cool. I'd like to have Guardian, they have brilliant articles there.
Givi
You're right, people should not teach one another here, may be only in the topics separately divided for this purpose. If one wanted to know the right way of writing of this or that, he or she may create new topic and put a question to others.

Thank you for registering account at NY Times site. That's great.
I believe we'll find a good number of themes to talk over with native Russian-speakers as well as with foreign guests:улыб:Givi already suggested a few.
Hilda
I don't think that this forum will be very popular... but...

I think that some people, who want speaking English, will find something interesting, nice & actual here...

so... let's dance...
Hilda
Well, a good idea, but in my opinion this place would be interesting in case we have here some haunters with English as native language. Anyway let's try...
Givi
well well well, i just got here noticing inventions strucking poor people's heads. what about simpicity of watching movies and taking part in conversations? of course sounds pretty damn and i don wanna be labeled doll faced saying all the elementary stuff but still writing as a form of expression requieres some kind of control, don't you think. good luck bored people.
Hilda
Well, hi everybody. I decided to join this English-speaking community. By the way, are there any native speakers on this board so far? Just curious:миг:

As to the rule of "Only English" - what about signatures and board interface? I'm not saying that there's a need to do anything about it, just stating the fact, for fun :ха-ха!:

good luck bored people.
Ah, come on. By now people are a bit embarrassed not to show a proper level of English. I beleive in a while there will be more conversational topics, maybe even smth like BZ :D. How to call it? Wild acquaintances? :спок:
netghost
IMHO it would be nonsence to ask everybody to change the signature before writing on this board:улыб:So we have nothing to do with Russian-language signatures and nicknames...
Hilda
Well, I said I was just kidding:миг:

It's a really good idea to make this forum. My english is not good enough and that is why I want to use this forum for learning. I ask you to underline all of my mistakes.

I am sure there are still some mistakes but hopefully a bit better than original. (go on... continue corrections, including this text you are reading now)
Uandreas
Haha! Uandreas, you are a really good corrector! My respect:)

-------I don't think that this forum will be very popular... but...-----------

As far as I have understood the aim was not to make it popular, but to make it, wasn't it!!

So - I think - it's a very nice idea. My congratulations to the Administration.

!!!! By the way - "As I HAVE UNDERSTOOD" of "As I UNDERSTOOD"? (it's my question - please, help with the right variant!)
Джейми
I think that "as I have understood" is the right variant...
Джейми
^-)

sorry, it's me again...

in my opinion, the simply way is to say "as I understand"....
Hilda
Sorry `bout the interuption, I see only the russians use this source for their english skill brushing
Let`s break th bound - I know a lot of foreigners here in Nsk. An many of em wold be glad to have some words here.

Manitoba
Why only in NSK? You forgot, we are in Internet!
I think, we can find some persons in UK or in USA, who use Internet for their Russian skill brushing. Probably, there exist such forum, where Russian native speakers are needed. We can help each other. But, it can be difficult find them.
